    Every player issued an unsportsmanlike penalty before the game after 2 little spate.  Horns down now equals a disqualification

    Something to keep in mind today: the result of this game really won't tell us the state of the program. Win or lose.

    I'm with FakeID here. Even getting boatraced by OSU isn't very instructive at this point given the massive gap between the relevance of our programs, despite Husker fan generally not wanting to acknowledge that. A close loss or an upset would be enormously encouraging, though.

    I don't feel good about this game at all.

    Which is good news.

    I've been wrong about every game so far. 

    I thought we'd roll S. Alabama, thought we'd beat Colorado, thought we'd play a tight game against Northern Illinois, and thought we'd roll Illinois.

    I'd be disappointed if we don't win but it seems kind of strange to be talking about a VB game that will be played on 11/30.

    In excited for all Final 4 teams. Anyone winning is going to be great. Michigan State last won it all 19 years ago. The other 3 have never won it all.

    All four made it to the F4 by not fading in the spotlight.  None of them flinched against great competition.

    I dislike the SEC but I think I'm probably rooting for Auburn. Super fun to watch and just outed a team without one of their top players. Now that we have Hoiberg, I wouldn't mind his son winning at MSU either. 

    You're right, there really is no wrong choice to root for it seems like.

    There were about 12 points of mistakes in that game (block punt safety, backward pass fumble, JD dropped pass that would have put us up 28-16). 

    Could have beat a Top 10 team on the road, but I'm proud of the team in this defeat, even if they may not be.

    We did leave a lot of points on the field with bad decisions.  We knew that was probably what we were in for with a true freshman QB.  Good thing is, he should only get better as he learns when to throw it away, when to tuck it and run etc.

    I just find it hard how a team that was doing well defensively just collapses like that on the final drive. 

    Were they playing too tight? Full of fear? It's just crazy how quickly they unraveled. It was like Colorado all over again. It's hard to figure out how to play in that situation when you haven't been in that situation at all. But still...

    I'll get another penalty thread up later or early tomorrow. Just a lot of bad penalties this game, really no different than last week. 

    Actually more penalties on the offense this week than the defense.
