How much faster did you get info there? These guys we have here do an excellent job I think

@man eating mastodonYou get it pretty fast, and then you learn who gets it first. Tea leaf info for sure, and Munson was the first to swing the Mathis pendulum towards Nebraska recently. Then 247 came in a day later.

Omar Manning hurt is foot in practice and has been seen wearing a boot.

All that matters is if there is a try-hard walkon that will block for the RB's who can't break long runs because the OL can't get a push.

Is there any chance this is just crafty coaching by Frost?

It's not the players. This is a good roster with a ton of ability and intangibles.

Yes, but when the scheme gets WRs wide open and your QB either can't make the throw or refuses to get rid of the ball to them and takes a sack/fumble instead, that's a major problem with the QB.

The coaches decided on their guy and have nothing ready behind him. It's all on frost

Martinez isn't perfect, but he leaves it out on the field. Frost needs to give up on the offense or playcalling.

Lol why did someone laugh at 10-12 posts I typed up from two years ago?

I was trying some coding a couple years ago where I timestamped some laughs on posts to occur 2 years into the future.  It looks like it worked!

Ever think someone may have been in a coma for 2 years and is trying to catch up?

I am so proud to be a Nebraska fan. Nebraska always stuck it’s neck out to be different. They always strived to get in front and be innovative. I’m proud of our coaches, players, and administration for taking their stance and to do it so boldly. Go Big Red.

Nothing has been confirmed but based on what I've gathered from coaches and recruiting people I know, OV's aren't happening for the 2021 class. I would say take it to the bank.

Flipping someone like Dickerson or (if he doesn't commit) Fedone might be impossible for us now.

Fidone if anything would mean it’s a even more of a lock lol

Dickerson is dead and gone though. Visits will still happen they just will be the here check this out on campus if you can afford it kinda thing

My gut feeling is that they flipped Avante Dickerson. I hope I am right.

    Don’t worry.  Securing Heinrich >> Flipping A.D.

I agree. Decoy73.  Dickerson is good but Heinrich has a great ceiling and wants to be here.  Really like the bodies Fisher has in his room.  Our secondary will be good

    He gone. Not coming back.

I had this thought the other day in terms of recruiting. I can see somewhere in the future where universities will set up recruiting offices in different states. I haven't looked into the rules, but I can certainly see it happening. I think about how crazy it would be to see a building with a big red N on it here in LA.

With marketing and advertising agencies getting involved, the next move has to be expansion.

Sorry mods, I put this in another thread but I felt this was a better place.

Interesting thought, at least. But I don't know about full-time employees with their own offices. If there's anything remote to be done, though, I think it would be more like third-party scouting firms. Pay someone who already lives in LA a commission to comb through hours of video and visit various HS teams in the area and give their picks to various client coaches based on what the coaches are looking for. But who knows...

Probably right. And I see a time somewhere in the future where I won’t give two rips about college football because it has become too much like the NFL and no longer resembles the sport I grew up loving. The transfer portal and the lack of player commitment to anything except me me me is a pretty good start down that road.

    I love recruiting.

It's certainly more fun to be going down to the wire with some highly rated guys rather than scrambling around for bodies with a pulse!

I know it's the lifeblood of the program and it's important to have the emphasis on recruiting, but I tend to not follow recruiting until late in the process for 2 reasons.

    1.  Tracking every comment of a 17-18 year old kid seems a bit odd to me.

    2.  The way recruiting is followed so closely, fans are able to get a lot of info on incoming players, but I also think it creates unrealistic expectations for kids to produce right away and get labeled as "busts" too soon in the process.

This is the most excited I’ve seen this board for recruiting well...ever

I am pretty disappointed with recruiting right now.

Good coaches know how to build a culture/system, ID & recruit the right talent to make the system work and ultimately succeed with that system.

They also know how to adapt their system to fit the talent they currently have available and still succeed.

Frost has shown he can do the former. He's got a lot to prove regarding the latter.

Sadly, the phrase by Coach Frost, "We all know where this is going", isn't going to hold any weight going forward.  Time to "put up or shut up."  I'm with @Vince R. feelings.  Unfortunately, there is no momentum at all.  We should all probably be grateful we hold on to the 4 star commits we have.  Outside of landing Manning and Johnson, there really isn't a potential recruit that I salivate in bringing into the program ... my spirit says, "meow" to most.  I guess that is what it should feel like after 5-7.  Can't imagine how those of you feel who thought we would be better than 7-5.  You have to feel really sick to your stomach.
