    It depends on if they add that claus to the BCS or plus-1 system that says you must have won your division or conference to make it. In that case, you could have an 11-1 team in the national title hunt who doesn't make the CCG because they get beat by a division rival who lost to every team in the opposite division and sits at 9-3. Doesn't seem right to me either way.

    I would rather do away with divisions all together. The whole conference could have x number of protected games to keep rivals the rest get rotated. Two teams with the best record at the end duke it out for the CCG.

    The problem with this is when it works out for you, you don't care. When it screws you over, you start to care. If you changed it, people would clamor for the team in the division with the best conference record to go on. The system is fine as it is.
