It was a statement. Not "justifying" anything. In one country a teen might be insulted at worst. In the other a teen could be beheaded or sold into slavery. The irony is the former teen saying it was "hard" living in America and now happy to move to Qatar.

It's a nation built on immigration, you wouldn't think this would be a problem.

Ah organized religion. Gotta love it

i've seen muslims unnecessarily arrested, protests against muslim community centers, and obsession with preventing sharia law through means similar to sharia law. all of which is extremely shameful and not excused just because we are better than the most barbaric.
