I have a friend in a similar boat. That program enabled people to pursue valuable public sector jobs such as teaching. Pulling out the rug from under them is both ridiculous and counterproductive.

I was going to use that same program to manage my debt when I got out of school, zoogs.

But I guess none of us average schlubs matter all that much if Betsy "Never stepped into a public school in her life" DeVos can kill the program to reduce federal spending.

Elections have consequences and all that.

Only have about two years left till mine will be forgiven through the same program. Frustrating.

Frankly, if Trump and Pence get Impeached and they leave office, there needs to be a whole redo on the cabinet and judiciary positions selected.

Football paid for my education, loans paid for my partying, and my loans were forgiven by the gov't. America!

That debt is being paid through their decision to enter the public sector.

Right, my question is did you decide to go into education because of the loan relief? I had a lot of debt paid off via this repayment program, but didn't choose to go into teaching because of it. It was more of a bonus.
