My thoughts exactly, and it's why I posted this.
You want to talk about radicalized violence being a problem? Fine, but let's all look in the mirror, too. Want to be better? Rise above. Be able to treat deranged criminals as just that.

I don't want to rush to politicize this. Events like these are always a tragedy and should be treated as such.
But... at the risk of ticking people off, flip the roles. Imagine a brown person started shouting anti-America sentiments at white people and then flipped out and stabbed two people to death.
It would be nonstop coverage on every news channel.
By comparison, a lot of people don't even know this happened.
