It's no different than when women were taboo. If a person can pass the same physical tests and prove themselves worthy, let them fight and pitentially give their life for this country. Regardless of how they desire to identify, means nothing if they are willing to protect this country.

I've seen several quotes from vets/active service that say the same thing, Redux. Nobody gives a damn what's going on under the uniform when it's time to storm the beach, or clear foxholes, or sweep houses. They want someone who can do the job & has their back. Period.

Gender identification has nothing to do with being a good solider. This is a disgrace to the soldiers that risk it all for our country.

Yeah. Another facet to this, too -- the military service is not limited to combat soldiers. This blanket statement covers *everybody*.

Because being transgender is a mental health issue. Being gay isn't, but thinking you're a different sex than your genitalia suggests definitely is.

Hope you are joking about it being a mental issue, you can see on scans some people have more male or female brains in an opposite body. Frankly it's amazing considering the fundamental complexities of our building blocks that we come out remotely similar at all.

Sex is defined by genitalia. Not by how your brain/emotions are. It is an issue of where do we draw the line? Should the military have to deal with a soldier going through multiple surgeries to mutilate their genitalia? They have bigger issues at hand.

how can you be a patriotic american who wants to serve your country if you can't decide if you are male or female? and while we are at it we know that any liberals in the army can't be trusted to support trump so let's get rid of them also. might be time to fix allowing blacks and women to serve also....what was the government thinking when they allowed that to happen? Trump will make america great again over all these liberal objections!!!
