No, but it seemed significant, did it not? Did I need to be there in order to feel terrible?

I agree with you Hoosker. Sad day indeed.

Yeah, it was sad. But it won't be a date that people remember forever, it just won't. Most people can't remember the date when RFK was shot...or when RR was shot.

Yea, this is not 9/11 big. It's really terrible, but most people don't remember the dates of mass shootings either. A highened state of emotion has driven your statement

Violent protests aren't a new thing. I understand that, but the tepid, ambiguous response from Trump was deeply troubling and confirmed what many of us had feared. He will never publically denounce hate groups that support him even in the aftermath of what happened yesterday. For that, I will never forget what happened.

I hear you. It's super unfortunate he's not denouncing them. Although I felt the same Obama when he wouldn't denounce the groups that were also doing things.

They need to be denounced, called out and told they will not be tolerated. Neither Obama or Trump efficiently has done so.

Can we get a little more specific than "groups that were also doing things"? It's important to stay away from false equivalence.

Yeah, not sure what or who Obama didn't properly denounce?
