Not sure what you mean exactly.  I bought a ticket off StubHub on my phone last year and got the instant download ticket.  The guy couldn't get it to scan right but I think that was probably operator error.  He let me in.

I just want to make sure I don't have to print the ticket and they can scan my phone.

It's supposed to work.  I had some trouble but the guy trying to scan my "ticket" was ..... a bit long in the tooth.  I wouldn't be afraid to try it again.

Can you do both? I just bought a Cubs game ticket and it said to make sure to take my phone to the stadium, but then it also sent me a download link for the tickets IIRC.

I can do both. I just don't want to.

I'm a worry wart about that kind of stuff. I usually take a better safe than sorry approach. You could always take the tix and ditch them once you get inside if the phone ends up working. Plus, if you get sloshed and drop your phone in a puddle...
