I think it's the sudden flood of activity all at once, along with the presentation/"selling" of the walk on program.

Yeah, I could be wrong but Riley has gotten 1 or 2 big WO’s the past couple years (Paup last year) and like 8-10 overall each year in the class.  I think Frost is selling it better now though so maybe we will see 15?

I would say wait to see how it finishes up.  Obviously more emphasis is being put on it.  They're still working on who they will get.  By my count we have 13 right now.  The last three years we took 9 each year.  So we're already up 50%.  And probably more coming.

Very nice work Mav, I couldn’t find the numbers. Would you agree that MR did an okay job with WO numbers though?

As in the number of guys he took?  I guess it was fine.  Really only Cleveland and Young have gotten on the field and I don't know if they were Riley guys or Pelini guys.  Many reports that that staff didn't really know how to handle a roster this size so I guess there really wasn't a need to take more guys just to have them stand around.  Those numbers were down quite a ways from what Pelini was taking so Riley was the low-water point.

3 of our Walk on kids had D1aa offers.  2 of them were committed to South Dakota St. and Masker had some d1aa offers i believe.  I think it is a big deal to convince a kid to pass up a schollie and walk on.  Especially D1aa kids because they usually are not giving out full scholarships to kids so they are paying some for school anyways.  Might as well come to Lincoln and try their hand at big time football.
