They also start every season against a top 10 ranked team in those neutral sites

@Landlord has a very solid point. They don't shy away from key early season match ups.

I would much rather play any team at a neutral site than at their own home stadium.

Also means they don't have to play them back-to-back seasons since they aren't doing a home/away series. Mix that in with a 15th week bye vs a high school team and you have a smart schedule.

It really doesn't matter if they play in back to back seasons if they play a different top 10 team each year. I hated when we played Washington 3 teams in a calendar year.  I have a bigger problem with their 8 game conference schedule and their FCS opponent later in a season.

@BIG ERN Instead of playing a mediocre team in back-to-back seasons, they look to schedule a key match-up early in the season.

That sucks for their fans. I rather have big non-conference home and home than neutral site games. Whatever works for them.

@HuskerNBigD, They have Louisville as their big non-conference game next year at a neutral site. The year after that they have Duke as their big neutral site non-conference game. DUKE!
