@knapplc Look what I wrote, 4 of those 3 stars went on to play in the NFL. Development of players in this class and future classes, which I am sure Frost will put together fine classes in the future, will win games at Nebraska. As @teachercd wrote, I don't think anyone is ripping on Frost or Nebraska. I am not really sure why the OP compared Nebraska to Ohio State. Only Penn State is close to Ohio State in the Big Ten in recruiting this year. Nebraska is recruiting at the level of Michigan State, Michigan, and Maryland this year. That isn't bad for a first year coach.
I don't think anyone is ripping on Frost or Nebraska, either. Don't take someone's misconstrued characterization to heart.
I'm not terribly worried about Frost's recruiting this year. He needs a decent class, and to show he can get a team to compete in the P5 this year. Next year and the year after are where he really needs to step it up in recruiting.
If Riley could get top talent to visit Nebraska, I think Frost can get them to visit and some to commit. You are right, his next two recruiting classes are where he needs to step it up.
To @jaws , @teachercd and others. No rip at all to Frost. I wanted Frosty three years ago. When we got him I said I thought his recruiting class would be around #19 in the country. He has more then delivered on his recruiting. The guy lost like 7- 4* guys and via recruiting day and night has put together an amazing class.
And yet, how sobering ... after all that ... you look at OSU and their class and wonder just what in the hell one has to do to gain ground. Geez, have you looked at just OSU's DL class? They have like four of the best 5 kids in the whole country. It almost doesn't seem fair.
No rip to Frosty at all. Nothing but respect for his effort. He has been amazing. I do believe that Frost & Co. will outcoach Urban as well.
