Good for them. Now hopefully Nebraska outworks them.

But our twelve 3* recruits, they're the same as six 6* recruits right?  #GlassHalfFull

Urban Meyer at OSU:  6 years

Scott Frost at NU:  52 days

I mean, maybe compare Frost's class to someone who's been at their job less than two months instead of to Urban Meyer, you know?

I don't think he is ripping on Frost...I think he is just pointing out how freaking good the OSU class is.

It is reported that Kerry Coombs, one of OSU's better recruiters, is leaving for the Tennessee Titans today. Tough loss for the Buckeyes.

@KnappIc Just for fun, Urbans first class at OSU: 2-5*, 14-4*, 6-3* . 4 of those 3* guys went on to play in the NFL.

By golly that is fun. Who'd a thunk a national-championship winning coach would be able to pull in players like that.

Scott Frost won a national championship.

Exhilarating.

Iowa beat the tar out of tOSU and Wiscy played them to the wire in the B1G championship.

We get our stuff together and have an identity, then we are the team in the West to knock off tOSU.

GBR!!!

I feel like we should hope for great recruiting AND great coaching.

@knapplc Look what I wrote, 4 of those 3 stars went on to play in the NFL. Development of players in this class and future classes, which I am sure Frost will put together fine classes in the future, will win games at Nebraska. As @teachercd wrote, I don't think anyone is ripping on Frost or Nebraska.  I am not really sure why the OP compared Nebraska to Ohio State. Only Penn State is close to Ohio State in the Big Ten in recruiting this year. Nebraska is recruiting at the level of Michigan State, Michigan, and Maryland this year. That isn't bad for a first year coach.

I don't think anyone is ripping on Frost or Nebraska, either. Don't take someone's misconstrued characterization to heart.

I'm not terribly worried about Frost's recruiting this year. He needs a decent class, and to show he can get a team to compete in the P5 this year. Next year and the year after are where he really needs to step it up in recruiting.

If Riley could get top talent to visit Nebraska, I think Frost can get them to visit and some to commit. You are right, his next two recruiting classes are where he needs to step it up.

To @jaws , @teachercd and others.  No rip at all to Frost.  I wanted Frosty three years ago.  When we got him I said I thought his recruiting class would be around #19 in the country.  He has more then delivered on his recruiting.  The guy lost like 7- 4* guys and via recruiting day and night has put together an amazing class.

And yet, how sobering ... after all that ... you look at OSU and their class and wonder just what in the hell one has to do to gain ground.  Geez, have you looked at just OSU's DL class?  They have like four of the best 5 kids in the whole country.  It almost doesn't seem fair.

No rip to Frosty at all.  Nothing but respect for his effort.  He has been amazing.  I do believe that Frost & Co. will outcoach Urban as well.

Go Big Red!
