Ow. Silver lining - at least it was just his thumb and not a whole foot.

Sounds like he gets to work on his "Club/Rip" move in the spring.

If I were a defensive lineman, I'd be pretty embarrassed if I had to miss a season because of an injured thumb... I'd be shocked if he isn't ready by fall

Edit: I realize it's probably extremely painful and will take time to recover, and he may never get the full use of his thumb back.  It's his right thumb, so he might not be able to throw for track  & field either.  I do know he's a tough dude and he'll work his butt off to get back to full speed.

My comment is based off of knowing exactly 0 details. For all we know it could be nothing, or could be potentially the loss of the finger....

Didn't that moron from the Giants blow most of his hand off and come back to play that season?

@teachercdI think he missed a full season but he was eventually back.  JPP, wish he would have come to Nebraska, but yes, that moron blew off his fingers.

Davis probably broke a couple bones in his thumb, and hand/finger injuries require surgery.  This probably won't limit him much, and he should be ready for the Fall.
