This last season was a lot like one of Pelini's. Beat most of the teams we should've, lost to the teams that were probably a toss up, and sprinkling in one or two head scratching defeats.
Maybe winning the NIT would do it, but the only other way I see the NIT being acceptable is if there are some injuries to key players and the team still makes it to the postseason. Not transfers, injuries. Transfers from key players this year speak to the culture and attitude of the team and Miles needs to leave.
@VectorVictor yup, I meant the dance. Winning the NIT would probably do the trick as well but even that wouldn't signify much improvement in the regular season. I might even add not only making the tourney but actually winning a game to the requirement.
McVeigh is gone for sure. Palmer and Copeland both put their names in for the NBA draft but don't hire agents. I don't really see either getting drafted, so if they both come back I think Miles has a chance next year. If not... Moos is working on the list in his top desk drawer
I say give him next year. The NIT team we lost to in the first round is headed for the final four (Mississippi State). I would love to see Copeland and JPJ come back next year (neither one of them are ready for prime time in my opinion) Play On! If they crash and burn then bring in a big gun.
