Yes! I just went to an Aging Brain seminar and the speaker said that the greatest detriment to older adults is agism (“This is happening to me because I’m old!). Tell that to the 100+ folks who are still going strong!

My hubby is taking an early retirement within the next 6 weeks, and has been heard to say he wants to do NOTHING with his time. I told him that is how you get old fast, and I'm not standing for it. Told him he WILL remain a useful member of society. LOL

Someone else said - You don't retire, you REFIRE! I'm still a few years from taking the golden watch (most likely will be a crack jack box watch) but I do want to volunteer and EXPLORE.
