Sadly this is more rampant and goes higher than anyone can even guess. These organized rings are very adept at what they do. I would love to take a crack at anyone who harms kids.
I'm not trying to diminish how scary it is to have what looks like an epidemic (40 in 10 days is a lot), but overall the number of missing persons under 18 has reduced by a lot. Although the % that is trafficking is probably impossible to keep track of. This only goes through 2014 so there could have been an uptick since then but every other major crime declined through 2016 and some had a slight uptick in 2017.
So I'm not doubting your comment CN, but I keep seeing a lot of people talking about high numbers going missing there and have yet to be able to find any information that backs that up. Where are your stats coming from? I am just having a hard time believing that number of missing kids/teens wouldn't be in the news, and from what I can find, it's not.
When I googled and examined a number of sources, they state that 40 is not atypical and most will be found within 24 hours. However there is one notible college age student that is believed to be abducted.
The dudes that run this s#!t are groomers...they stuff they do is crazy. They need to be killed. Sadly we don't punish the way we should because we are fake concerned about rehabilitation. But if your "job" it manipulating/kidnapping young girls so that you can beat them, drug them, rape them, threaten them, threaten their families, whore them out, then sell them...you don't need to be rehabilitated...it wasn't a "one time thing"...it was planned...and you should now plan your funeral.
Rarely any of the cases shown are kids actually abducted. Most all were found within a day. It's a misleading stat that came out after the girl from Brooklyn, IA went missing. Which IMO she wasn't abducted by a stranger.
