Have awful ball control, make silly penalties and have questionable clock management skills? 

We saw many positives in the game. The energy and demeanor of these kids should have you excited. You choose to focus on the negative. Haven't we had enough of that over 5+ years?

it's the first game of the season. Was it sloppy - hell yeah? Are first games usually sloppy? Yeah. Are first games playing against a decent P5 team whose already playing a game going to put a sloppy team at a disadvantage? Yeah. 

Exactly, It'sNotAFakeID, this is our first game. With a true freshman QB and all new staff. We will not be perfect against anybody and to expect so is madness and unrealistic. They will get better. The try and effort is there. 

When the negative stop outweighing the positives, I'll focus on the positives. Until then, hold onto the ball, kill the clock and knock it off with the stupid penalties. 

I was annoyed with the silly penalties as well, but I would have been even more annoyed with us being beat by 3+ TDs. Our defense actually bat down passes in the end zone. Barring those early TOs, we win IMO. We had sacks. We had passion. These kids love Scott Frost and we do too. Losing sucks, but we are on the right path.
