Halloween is amazing...it is the rare "holiday" that starts off amazing when you are a kid and only gets better as you get older.

I feel like the day after Halloween should be a bank holiday. Get rid of Columbus Day.
Same with the 5th of July and the day after Easter. (I suppose these 2 would be seriously considered long before anything related to Halloween).
The UK gets freaking Good Friday AND the day after Easter as bank holidays.

@Moiraine, or how about we move our Thanksgiving to Columbus Day, and make Election Day in November (and the Monday preceding) a national holiday?

Ya. If I was to order potential new holidays by priority I would put Election Day at #1. I'd put that above at least half the holidays we currently have.

Holidays that are tied to a date be moved to a Thursday and we should get Friday off.
Halloween should be the last Thursday in October.
Independence Day should be the first Thursday In July.
I guess we can leave Xmas on the 25th.
And the Super Bowl either needs to be moved to a Saturday (so we get Sunday off) or it should be the Sunday before President's Day (and everyone gets that day off).
