Wouldn’t say I dislike UCF, I just dislike their ego.

I don’t dislike UCF, but now that Frost is here I don’t care about them anymore.

I also didn’t like that people were arguing for their inclusion in the CFP because they had won 25 in a row. It’s a great streak, but the prior season result should have no bearing on the current season playoffs.

They held up Vedral's eligibility application with NCAA.  They shouldn't even think about poking a bear.  Glad they lost.

I like UCF.

@ColoradoHusk the point of the 25-0 argument is to highlight the overall strength and development of the program. It's the same reason Bama is top 4 every year.

If Milton were healthy they definitely should have been in.

@Atbone95 me too. And def agree that losing Milton was a major blow.

@ZRod But Bama also beat really good teams this year. If UCF had a similar SOS to Bama they get in over OU.

Also why should Milton’s injury dictate whether they get into the playoffs or not? Should be judged on their results only.

I wasn't talking about CFP. Just wondering why some people here dislike them.

As for your comment about their ego, no Husker fan should ever complain about another fanbase ego.

For more than 15 years the only place we are relevant is in our imaginations

The win streak was impressive but it still should have no bearing on whether they were good enough for this years CFP. The current year results should only be considered. I would be pissed if Nebraska went undefeated in 2019 and the playoff committee said that NU doesn’t belong because we had gone 4-8 in 2017 and 2018.

ZRod

@DrunkOffPunch you really think they are the same team without Milton? The committee can only place 4 teams, they have to think about who the best team is at that moment. A team losing a star player at QB isn't going to be the same team they were with that player all season long.

@ColoradoHusk you're still missing the point... The streak speaks to the strength of a program that was snuffed the previous year as well. It says that it wasn't a fluke. They are one of the best teams in their conference, and did everything they could possibly do 2 years in a row.

I’m more so talking about White’s comments about how they deserve better than a 2-1 deal because ‘they’re a top 10 team’ and fans declaring Florida was afraid to play UCF in a bowl game even though their AD had no control over it.

Also we’re a blue blood program. 15 years of mediocrity by our own standards doesn’t change that. Every blue blood program has gone through similar streaks. I don’t like Husker fan egos that think we should be a top ten team year round but at the very least we earned that ego by having those kinds of results for a prolonged period of time.

@ZRod No I don’t think they’re as good of a team without Milton but I don’t think the CFPC should take someone out of the playoffs or rank a team based on the status of their star players. Rank them solely based on the games they played and how they performed. I don’t think Mack’s performance at the end of the year hurt their playoff chances at all. He played really well.

@ZRod I’m not missing the point. There are people and media that have used the fact that UCF has won so many games in a row as an argument for why they should be included in the CFP. Yes, the streak is impressive and it does show they have been a great program the past 2 years. However, when determining the 4 playoff teams for this year, only this year’s results should be considered, and even with Milton, I wouldn’t have put them in the top 4 teams.

Because they didn't follow the Rocky blueprint.

I still like Wyoming because Devaney used to coach there.

UCF did not deserve a spot in the current playoff system regardless of who their QB is/was. Period.

UCF did deserve a shot to compete for a national title. However, that's a different discussion and one that will hopefully (and likely) be addressed in the coming years.

As for the OP, @ColoradoHusk hit the nail on the head - it's not that I don't dislike them. I just don't care anymore. I've grown a little tired of their narrative at times but, overall, I just don't care.

That Mikesi guy on their forum is comically disconnected from reality. Other than that, I'm pretty much indifferent.
