They should have lost 3 times in the tourney.  You gotta give Coach K credit...he learned how to recruit top 10 guys and forgot how to coach.

@teachercd K's problem isn't coaching; it's an over reliance on the 1 and Dones. He's never going to win another title with this recruiting method unless he has good upperclass players in leadership positions. 

Well, it is coaching in the sense that he doesn't know how to coach those guys.  Cal seems to really embrace it and even he has issues.  

He ran out of Plumlies. That's his issue.

@teachercd That is a very good point; I don't think anyone knows really how to coach 1 and dones. It's going to be interesting to see what the landscape of recruiting will look like in a couple years once the NBA changes the rules. 

I’m a Tar Heels fan too, and Coach Williams has a far better record in terms of NCAA titles (3), Final 4s, ACC regular season titles, compared to Coach K, since Roy joined UNC. Coach K’s “successes” are a bit overblown over the past 15 years. 

Coach K is not sure how to run a team now that he had Jeff Capel started dropping bags for all the one and dones.  This year, his weakness all year was shooting. Today, Duke was only 33%. How are you Coach K and not be able to bring in the 1-2 guys who can make open 3’s?

Roy has two titles (2005 was Illinois) and really just the one title...since both 2005 and the one vs the Zags are vacated because UNC creates fake classes for their basketball team.
