I have been a subscriber for over a year.  Take advantage of a sign up sale.  I like it, but sometimes I forget to check it.  They just added Mitch Sherman to be the beat writer for Nebraska sports, so that's a positive.  If you are a fan of multiple sports and teams, it's well worth the subscription.

I like it. I dont read nearly as much as I would like, but I think they have some fairly strong pieces. I joined because of the MN Wild beat writer joining them(Russo) but have enjoyed some of the other coverage. If you are only doing it for Nebraska coverage, probably not worth it but for the whole national coverage it is.

I've had it for about a year as well. I'm glad they finally added Mitch to cover the Huskers. There is a lot of content on there. There are articles for at least one of my teams every day. I would suggest getting the app too if you subscribe. It sends notifications for the new articles for your teams.

What other leagues/teams do you follow @Xmas32?

@GSG outside of NU, I follow the Seattle sports, University of Washington and the Blazers plus some Premier League Soccer.  I really love college football so I find myself reading lots of random content.

So about a month ago The Athletic started the 2019 series of "State of the Program" which is essentially a post-spring breakdown of Power 5 teams and top Group of 5 teams. Looks like they have sections for the city of Seattle, and of course they have UW writers and the Blazers. I don't follow soccer but they have sections for Premier League, MLS, La Liga, Champions League, etc. Stewart Mandel does college football mailbags pretty much every week and they also have a West Coast college football mailbag. I don't know if they're still doing free trials, but you might check that out too

Even with Sherman there are only a couple of articles a week.  Unless you follow multiple teams, I don't think it's worth it.  I follow the Cardinals, Blues, and Huskers, and I still don't think I'm going to renew.  The articles are very in depth though.

Appreciate all the responses gang...it sounds like I'll be able to a few solid articles a month (if not per week) which would be more than worth it to me to sign up.  Shoot, I already pay for 3 newspapers so what's a few more bucks?

I'm a huge fan. No ads, the app is great, and they'll email you stories that are posted about the teams you choose to follow.
