I'm really starting to dislike college football...
Fans/schools want quick turn-arounds, but don't want to pay the athletes. The NFL takes at least three years of perfect drafts and free agency (and a lot of luck) to turn a team around. How is a coach supposed to do that in college? A sport that depends on relationships in recruiting and building traditions on the field? Riley got fired because he was "ruining" the few positives left by Pelini; plain and simple. The program didn't need "turned around"....YET.
