If he did wrong, even if most don't agree with the rules, then he needs to be done. It is what it is. Next man up. Hopefully OSU self reported it as soon as they found out about it.
Thanks, knapplc. I don't expect anyone to feel bad for OSU.
The NCAA is going to be in an odd spot here, if he did take money from an agent, because of the whole proposed legislation for college athletes and the push for them to be allowed to make money. It will be interesting to see how they handle this because of the backlash that might ensue (one way or another). We are far removed from the problems at USC and OSU of almost a decade ago.
Hope it turns out okay but “loan from a family friend” sounds a little suspicious. We have lots of friends (and family) and have never considered giving their HS or college age kids a loan.
@JJ Husker I heard you gave all of Wisconsin's starting Dline and Oline loans just a few weeks ago. I will be sure to leak that tomorrow so Wisconsin can sit their guys for the Nebraska game.
@HuskerInLostWages okay, I'll come clean. I did give money, lots of it, to all of the Wisconsin starting line players. And while I'm at it, those weren't loans either, they were illicit payments to get them to play for my beloved Badgers. Somebody should report me before November 16th.
