The TD made the score 22-21, if they go for 2 and make it, the score would have been 24-21. It’s moot now, but still not a smart decision by Day.

Right so yes that would have been the better decision. A 2 point lead and a 1 point lead are the same thing it's worth it to try for the 3 point lead
