One of the saddest days in my life was when my son decided he liked steak more than hot dogs

I feel your pain. We raised three boys! You'd think they were a bottomless pit. The wife had to hide the good stuff on the very bottom shelf of the pantry. It was safe there because they were too lazy to bend over.

get rid of all the junk food in the house and they will end up at the neighbors eating all their food instead

@huKSer Now that you mention it, I'm sad that I like steak more than hot dogs. I'll have to console myself by cutting up that 9lb hunk of beef aging in my fridge into ribeyes... :cry

The bottom shelf- now that’s clever.

Teach then healthy eating habits so they don't have to try to figure them out later in life like I did. My parents always made relatively healthy food, but I ate way to much as a kid.

I fought a good fight with the healthy foods- and gave up a while back for the expense and effort and the fact no one liked my healthy fare.  I hate buying stuff like hot pockets, but it’s a meal supplement. Still will not buy chips, cookies, or cokes. His friends won’t eat here because it’s not junk. Outside of the hot pockets, he will scramble eggs several times a days so that good I guess. Dude needs to get job at McDonald’s ASAP- they feed them right?

My son will be 13 in June.  He'll tear through an entire loaf of bread like nobody's business.   Insanely picky eater though.
