It was reported that it was a fan from the stands and he was removed - the ref also left and didn't come back.

Really? My buddy showed me the film of it and it looked like a player. Guess not!

Just checked with my coaching friend...he said the Ralston thing was their player, their best player.

I always thought it was baloney that they can call a technical foul on a fan. How can the coach possibly be expected to control the fans?

@NUance It is a bit odd. And I'm not sure I've ever even heard of it actually happening. They didn't even do it in this case where the guy came out onto the floor.

I have seen it one time while coaching football...Some dude (I think it was just a fan for the team we were playing) came on the field and got flagged.
