That a way to look at the bright side!

@funhusker ... and still ... He loved me so!  I needed it ... I was certainly excluded from the Life of God and was without hope.  Glad to rest in His righteousness.  Grateful that the Just stepped in for me ... the unjust one.

@funhusker, you gotta live in the brokenness of muck and mire ... before you can see the Life that is greater than you.

Starts at the 07:00 mark.

We believe in different Jesus's.  That's okay.

@funhusker, hey, it's all good bro.

Wanted to share a reading I did on my personal Facebook page. Perhaps this is a chapter in a book idea. I compiled this on Good Friday, yesterday, and decided to share it on Facebook and get some feedback from both believers and 12 Step folks. It's 45 minutes long ... if you watch it. It was worshipful to consider "The Life" Jesus lived in that final day.

The 12 Step instructions are in the first 17 minutes [if you want to skip that] and will benefit any/all who watch. From the 17:00 on is the story of Jesus' dependence upon the Father and how He allowed "God to demonstrate through Him what God can do."

Hope it gives perspective to your Good Friday experience.

@funhusker, a good morning to you.  This was on my heart ... since we believe in a different Jesus.

The Jesus that was revealed to me ... rose from the dead ... and now has taken up residency in me.

1 Corinthians 15:12-19 - Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?  But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.  Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.  For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.  Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.  If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

May we both be found in His Resurrection and Life.  Abba, if I have not come to know you ... and am deceived, I ask you to reveal Yourself and what I missed in believing your New Covenant.

I'm glad your happy.  I really am.

I just worry that many people's faith in the "world to come" gives them a "whatever" attitude about the world that we all currently live in (the one that doesn't require faith).

Your posts in the P&R forum seem to indicate that you are okay with people dying because mere death is nothing compared to salvation in Christ.  I have a huge problem with that.

Now, please stop proselytizing in the status update and just take this conversation where it belongs.  Maybe others would like to join you there.  Thanks.

@funhusker ... your comment is full of revelation to you and of you.  I'm not talking about a "world to come".  That isn't what "eternal life" is about.  You know this dear one.  Eternal life is knowing God in the NOW and enjoying His Life IN us.  Frankly, it just sounds like you are pissed that I choose to keep all this in a perspective that violates your political view.

By no means am I okay with people dying, nor of Covid.  I lost my Mom's sister to Covid the day before Easter at 6:40 AM.  Did the funeral yesterday.  My wife lost her Uncle at the age of 62 to Covid this past week.  It is real.  What I see differently is the lack of perspective [which seems to be of political gain].  Covid is NOTHING in comparison to others in the past.  Look to the Spanish Flu as an example.  So, when the "left" bloviates 2 million deaths in just America ... and then bloviates it to 3.5 million ... and then world wide the numbers are around 150,000 ... well that pisses me off.  I spend most of my days trying to help folks deal with the fear created by the bloviation.  And now, we have all sorts of financial heartache caused by all the fear.

Enjoy the day sir.
