Are you saying we should be doing nothing special to help reduce the spread at this time, in the middle of hugely increasing infections? Surely you're not proposing life completely as normal right now.

I'm just going to tell you right now, that your off base. This isn't necessarily about how deadly this virus is compared to another. It's about how easily it transmits and how severe symptoms can be, and how that overwhelms our healthcare system. If you let this virus "run it's course" this is going to be an absolute s#!t show worse than March and April; and on a selfish level I don't want to have to spend an hour or two again every morning consoling my fiancee and listening to her war stories from the ICU. I don't want her to have to tell me about how she didn't get to use the bathroom for 6 hours or didn't eat her lunch because she couldn't leave her patients bed side, I don't want to have to rub her back and feet because they are sore from standing for 13.5 hours and turning obese patients to prone them and help them breath, I don't want to see mask-ne on her pretty face anymore, I don't want her to have to strip down in the garage before she comes into the house, I don't want to hear her almost cry as she tells me she can't go back there, and don't want to hear about how family members can't even be by their loved ones side when they pass.

Not only are there a bunch of threads where this is already being discussed, but you clearly have access to the internet where you can discover much of what you've claimed about coronaviruses is wrong. At least look into SARS and MERS to find out that there's several different types and that they can be much worse than the common cold.
Or maybe just look at how more than 137,000 Americans have died from covid-19 in just 5 months and then compare that to the common cold.

I just got stabbed in the chest with a knife, I'm bleeding a ton but it's just like any time I've cut my finger while cooking or splinters. The wound gushing blood is going to run its course and stop bleeding.
There will never be a true way to stop bleeding from a chest wound, so use your f#&%ing brain people. Stop listening to so called "Doctors" and the main-stream media that tell you getting stabbed in the heart is fatal unless "treated" with "bandages". Or that if you don't run with untied shoe-laces while carrying a carving knife you're a lot less likely to get stabbed in the heart.
