I've only had two. The swab they use is super abrasive and I had a noticeable thing on the back of my throat for a few days after each time.

I flunked each test, and they said I wasn't a candidate to test again. But I swear I'll pass some day!

I don’t think I want that test. That swab looks to be 8” long and they bury it. I’ll just wait until I’m sick enough to know I have it and skip the test.

Why are you (or any of you who have) getting the COVID test?  Are you needing it for work/travel?  Are you having symptoms of the virus and taking it for pre-cautionary measures?  Not judging, I'm just curious.

I was stuck in the same house with lots of family adn some of them started having symptoms. We were just getting ready to go visit my grandmother who was receiving chemo at home at the time. I wasn't going to go visit her unless I was reasonably sure I was negative.

@ColoradoHusk I got mine through TestNebraska. They asked for volunteers and now they have my DNA and they can breed a Super Race of internet dweebs and I regret it all so much.

@JJ Husker I am a notoriously good test taker. Fingers crossed for this one.

@knapplc Does WebMD count?

@Atbone95 3 of them? Seriously?

@Danny Bateman Same man that sold the world.

@JJ Husker Things that are 8'' long haven't bothered you before #Heyyo

@ColoradoHusk Wife had mild symptoms and got tested this weekend; still waiting on her results. I'm developing mild symptoms and decided to get tested before heading back to work this week.

@Cdog923 Seriously - only before or after travel with compromised family members this summer. Plenty of tests at Test Nebraska, it's free, and anyone who wants one can get one.

@Cdog923 that's ok, I've heard ladies are more interested in thickness and girth, or that's what I just keep telling myself.

What's your turnaround time on results?  The VA does theirs in house so its about 18 hours to hear back.

@GSG None; dude went in dry and didn't even apologize.

@dubsker It's through TestNebraska; they say 3 business days after tests arrive at the lab. My wife took hers on Friday and got her results today (negative), so I'm thinking probably Thursday. I, however, did have a friend who's wife did a test on Friday and got her results on Saturday, so I think it probably depends on volume of tests being conducted.

Just FYI, some do have a throat swab, but if it’s a free test you’ll probably have to do the brain picker one.  Is it that much different from a flu swab?

@Cdog923   Hopefully they don't make you wait too long.  Get well soon!

@dubsker Thanks! I truly don't expect it to come back positive; I can count on one hand the number of times I've been out of the house since March, and my wife's was negative. But, better to know than wonder.
