OK....explain this to me.  Why?  He has a chance to play (if they have games) and even more how good he is.  Now, he's guaranteed to not play football till at minimum September of 2021.

It's going to be a shorter season so less likely to get injured.  

Because there is a pandemic, not sure if you missed it.
