Obviously NOT cheap and not what you're asking for but if you have an iPhone then I definitely recommend getting AirPods because they'll pair with your other devices and I use them all the time with my phone, work Zoom meetings, work outs, etc.
My school is buying us those mics but I have not grabbed mine yet so I don't know which one it is BUT I do know it works really well...so as usual I am of no help.
I have AirPods. But not noise cancelling. But of course at this moment I can’t find them, even with the find my app. Used them Monday night and now they’re gone. I guess they can sync with my desktop at school.
@teachercd only mics? I’m thinking o need to cancel outside noise so I don’t have to shout. And I’m not sure about using an external mic and external camera separately. I feel I have to shout at my camera, which has a built in mic. That thing works well(as a camera) and was only 15 bucks on Amazon.
I think any decent noise cancelling microphones are still fairly pricy (i.e. Yeti Blue microphones). Most of the cheaper models I've seen don't work very well. Are you concerned about loud noises and distractions in the area you're going to be recording? Because if you think it's going to be relatively quiet, you should be fine with a standard microphone.
