I have been thinking of putting one in my master bathroom.  Did you get one of those that hook up to your water line for the toilet?  How much $ did it cost, and how easy was it to install.  I am illiterate when it comes to being handy, so things have to be really easy for me to work.

Congrats on being the most civilized person in your neighborhood!  Bidets are terrific.

Yeah, I got this model from Costco which is $10 off at $30 right now, Husk. Their return policy is awesome so I figured if anything went wrong I could take it back. But there are lots of similar models that cost about the same online.

Yep, it's just an installable model that fits under the seat and attaches to the water line. Installation was very simple, took probably 20 minutes. Worst part was getting things screwed on tightly just due to space constraints.

Very simple and the bathroom isn't flooded - yet!

I used to have one...but then we broke up.

@Danny Bateman I am so worthless with doing any projects that even your simple description makes me know I could never instal it correctly.

They do have a great return policy but taking back a used bidet...

@Danny Bateman so, did it only hookup to the cold water line for your toilet, or does it also have a hot water hookup? I’ve been wanting to get one also but I’m not sure I could handle our cold water without it being tempered or heated electrically. Our cold water is super cold in the winter  :ohnoes  I’ve got a plumbing background so getting warm or hot water to it wouldn’t bother me.

@GSG I'll have you know that's a patented design there, buddy. You owe me a beer now.

@JJ Husker The one we got just has a cold water hookup, but I know there are nicer ones out there that have a warm/hot hookup as well. If you're not afraid of putting some elbow grease into the job I'd look at one of those!

I'll say the cold water is a bit much at first but I think I'll get used to it eventually.
