My mom used to grow a lot of raspberries.  I never helped her transplant them though.  

I do know there are two kinds.  One kind you trim back every year, the other kind you don't.

From my Mom who transplanted a raspberry bush at their old house:

“Yes. Just dig a hole and transplant it. You won’t have much fruit the first year. Water regularly and you will have a great harvest each year on.”

I miss not having raspberry jam readily available.
