Seriously, conspiracy theorists can be extremely creative. When you're not bounded by the limits of logic or a factual basis for what you believe, you can create some really wacky s#!t. And yet the longstanding depiction of UFOs, presumably one of the most fantastical pieces of technology in existence, looks like somebody dismantled a fancy desk lamp and taught the top part to fly.

But, UFOs are real and people have seen them.  There was even one that crashed in Arizona with the military doing experiments on the aliens.

So....I"m assuming all the depictions of UFOs are based on fact and science.

What are you on about?

Most UFOs in our culture look like someone turned a tacky metal ashtray upside down. Prove me wrong.

Oh I agree. I just thought maybe something had happened recently that sparked your post

Nope, I saw a photo of one with "We want to believe" with no context and this is what popped into my mind somehow

Think of it scientifically. If an alien ship we're an advance piece of technology it would likely be highly efficient and have a highly efficient shape. It's not going to have stuff sticking out every which way creating drag, and it needs to be somewhat symmetrical to accommodate rapid changes in direction without experiencing drastic performance degredation.

You're smarter than this man! Don't be a sheep!

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! :thumbs

For civilizations that theoretically have technology and knowledge eons better than our own, THAT'S that type of craftsmanship and je ne sais quoi we should expect.

Space ships don't need to worry about drag.

It’s due to the psychological damage inflicted by all the anal probing. The last thing on these people’s minds is details on the shape of the aircraft.

@knapplc they do when they're in an atmosphere.

@ZRod If they can master interstellar travel, they've got atmospheric drag figured out, too.
