I feel like an old man with the back pains and the gray hairs on my chin...but Brady is even older than me and still doing this. For years, I resisted the notion that Brady was the best of all time but finally came around after the big comeback against the Falcons. He was super odl for NFL standards back then, but he still keeps f#&%ing doing it.
@teachercd hard to say seems like New England basically sold out for a SB run then a team rebuild. Obviously Tom wasn't down for the last half of that.
@ZRod Professional sports has a history of it's champions being built to accomplish the task and then reverting to the mean. The few teams that manage long term success are few and far between. On the play ground we would've called it stacking the team or bringing in ringers.
I've never minded Tom Brady. The vast majority of the hate thrown his way is simply because he's a winner who has dumped on virtually every team in the league time and time again. Yeah, he says or does stuff that triggers people sometimes, but every one of us does that stuff too. His mistakes are just amplified.
I'm happy for the Bucs, Suh and David, and I wanted the Bucs to win. Next year, I'll go back to wanting to see someone other than Brady win, but it has nothing to do with him other than just wanting to see a new face in the mix.
@B.B. Hemingway Hahahhahahahaha! Oh God, that was a good one.
Brady has helped more Huskers get a Superbowl ring than any other person in history. Suh, David, Davis, Rex, Dennard, Hochstein, and Eric Martin. Can we count Woodhead too?
More Superbowl wins than any entire franchise. So, yes, Brady is the GOAT QB. As for Sunday, Suh and the defense deserve as much credit for the win as Brady. /jmho
@B.B. Hemingway careful, you're going to make Tom blush.
He is the GOAT but I'll stop shy of the goat of goats. I can think of a small handful of other QBs that could've had the same results on the right teams and with the same level of supporting cast. Don't want to take anything away from him but......
I think sometimes people forget to look at Gretzky and his stats. I think I read that if you took away ALL HIS GOALS, and just counted his assists that he would still be the all time leading scorer in the NHL
@JJ Husker That's the thing, I don't think he was on that great of teams. How many other legends/HOF players has he played with? Gronk, Bruschi, Harrison? Not many. But, how can you not love this guy?
