I don't know how you made it brother.  I felt your pain at the pump this morning as well.  Here in Fort Worth it was 18 ("real feel temp 6") and my fingers froze immediately. I can't imagine how cold it was where you are ?!?!!.  And before you call me a weenie, freezing cold a$$ weather is still freezing regardless...  I even thought of the Midwest, Colorado, the East Coast when I was fueling up and was like   " How do they do this up there, like it's normal ?!! Probably because they were gloves n s#!t!!!..... I can't handle this !!!! ".  It took me 5 minutes of holding hot coffee in the truck with heater running to feel less than frozen... ughh...   I hate freezing cold weather.  Can't do it...

This was a completely different cold. Usually when this type of cold hits the air is incredibly dry. Not this time.. not sure what the humidity level was but you could feel it, almost see it the night the storm started and when those severe winds, coupled with the arctic cold hit.. Wowser.. it was COLD!! Still is.. but starting to feel more normal finally.

It’s cold as balls. When this front first moved in it was ridiculous. We went from +50 to -20 in a matter of hours. I think at one point the wind chill was -63.

Oh and gloves are your friend. You can’t be pumping gas bare handed in this s#!t.

@admo  sitting on a plane in Fort Worth typing this.

it was 6 above and -30 windchill when I was trying to fill up.

I’ll wait till Wednesday when I get back to finish filling up.

I can handle the cold usually. But, match it with 30+ mph winds and can’t do it unless dressed for it.

yesterday was -15 for the high with -50 windchill.  I didn’t leave the house.

They sell things called gloves. Really help keeping your hands warm in cold weather!

Took the dog for a walk the other morning in ski mask and ski googles (he's got a full coat and could carless what temp it is out, freaking loves the snow). Took my glove off fumbling with the poop bag to pick up his Christmas gift. Bag blew away. Dog chases it down. Finally got it opened and turd secured. My hand went completely numb during the fiasco, and think my thumb got a little frost nip. Crazy!

@BigRedBuster -15 temp and -50 windchill sounds so brutal !!!  And I'm sure you traveled for work, but you should have come through my hometown (Fort Worth) next week, because it will be back to mid 60s (counting down the days)....

It was 8 degrees but the wind chill was -13. I just happened to be between 2 condo complexes that turned into a wind tunnel at that exact time.

Evap system on the fuel tank vents are frozen,  causing to much pressure which is tricking the pump into thinking its full.  Hopefully its temporary.
