This hit home and made me sad 

It is very sad @admo.

I hope that there’s resolution soon for the Proctor family.

My mom has dementia.  She has walked out of my house in the middle of the night many times.  Like, 5 times in the past 2 weeks.  I have been woken up by the Police in the morning with flashlights because they found her standing in a neighborhood 1 mile away, waving at airplanes (6AM and dark out).  

I pray for everyone who has dementia and pay homage to anyone who has dealt with it before.  Like I said, it is sad and hits home. 

Yet another example of that we don't know what others are experiencing. I'm sorry to learn of your mom's dementia @admo.  I'll bet that it is emotionally overwhelming at times your concern for her. Does she have a device that sometimes sufferers wear that would help keeping her safe?
