I know that Indiana "didn't prepare for McCaffrey", but he looks good. Not sure who should start when everyone is healthy, but sure is nice to see a competent backup.
Just occurred to me while working outside this afternoon. If you look at the Husker's last 12 games, we are 8-4. Not koolaid material, but still not bad, considering the ash heap we are climbing out of.
I will admit I was distracted by my amazing granddaughter during much of the game, but I have a two questions about passing:
1. How many times did we target our tight ends. I saw Allen catch one late, don't recall any other catches or targets.
2. How many different players were targeted on...
Thought I'd post this in case anyone needs some fun reading material. Take a look back and see what was thought back then, and how you feel now after his first year.
Scott Frost Mega Thread;
On my phone and not sure how to search. What was the over / under from Vegas on our win total at the beginning of this season?
They sure have some experts. Right before the Sparty game the spread went to having Nebraska win by one. Pretty darned close.
So I'm curious. It seems like I...
There is no doubt the coaching staff made some bad decisions today. Big picture stuff is the responsibility of the head coach and his chosen assistants, and they didn't live up to that responsibility today at crucial times.
There is no doubt the players made some bad decisions today. They...
Got to thinking about the football program of the 70-90s. Changes have made a huge impact.
The Scholly limits....we used to have way more spots on the roster than now.
The Freshman program---the freshmen had their own team...not sure if they counted in the total program count restrictions. ...
Which game will be the first win of the Scott Frost era?
From a selfish standpoint, I'm hoping next week against Purdue. Purdue looked pretty salty today. I'll be in the stands next week with my son. Would really love to see Scott's first win next week.
So, aside from major frustration for everyone that was jacked up for the first game of the Scott Frost era, what is the fall-out from this cancellation?
It would be nice to have a game under our belts before Colorado for sure. Maybe the lads will be so pissed that they'll practice at a fever...
Got to thinking about "way back when" the Huskers had a Freshman team. Freshman didn't play on the varsity team, they had their own team. They played games against some JUCOs as well as against some "JV" teams from other schools. Think it ended with a game against the Air Force Academy in...
Curious how everyone became a Husker fan.
I was born in Nebraska. Myself and all four of my siblings are UN-L alumni. My uncle worked for the Huskers back in the 60s.
Not sure how to edit a poll question as this is my first. Option one should say that "I grew up in Nebraska or moved at an...
This is 95% coaching ineptitude we are seeing today. If not more.
"IF" we get a good coach, Frost or otherwise, how long does it legitimately take to get us turned around? One year? Two years? Three years?
I'm fearing that there is now some low competitive mentality that is seeped into...
Dave Rimington came in and did exactly what was expected. He was a calming presence, didn't attract a lot of unnecessary attention (except that which was natural given his ties to the program) and was pretty much out of sight once the hubub died down. We've got a solid guy onboard now as the...
I wasn't really a fan (too young) when Jennings was sucking the air out of Husker football, but I remember my grandpa talking about him and being absolutely thrilled when Devaney came here. Even the couple of down year, Grandpa was happy just to have winning seasons. From there, I've been an...
