Now that we went to a 3-4 defense will we beat the badgers moving forward?

This has probably been brought up, but I have not seen it as a main topic. Forgive me if it has. I have been buried at work. Article below: http://www.omaha.com/huskers/football/husker-offensive-line-veterans-adjusting-to-life-with-new-qb/article_26e3f514-2b90-510a-96bc-196f830af9f4.html I...

We need to beat Iowa because.........

We need to beat Iowa because the BIG 10 play offs would likely be Michigan St. vs Iowa. Two teams a 6-6 Nebraska team beat at the end of the season. That would make up for some of the huge disappointment this season has become. I'm hoping it will happen......

    Player development and coaching philosophy

I thought this was a great article about Brenden Stai giving comments on player development along with other interesting insights when he was a GA at Nebraska...

    Keys to beating Wisconsion

I haven't seen Wisconsin play this year. I did look at their stats though. They seem one dimensional. Strong run game and poor passing team. QB is not very good from what I can see. Just looking at it from a broad brush , I think we have a decent chance to surprise some of our critics in two...

Huskers might have another challenging big ten matchup- Rutgers!

I stayed up to watch this game. Will regret it since I have to get up very early. Still, it was very competitive. Rutgers look pretty tough. I think they will give us a good match. Washington St. is no FCS pushover. Nice to see the Big Ten start out on a positive note.

    Recruiting Dinner 2014?

Looks like the annual recruiting dinner is no longer happening. I can't find any information on it. Does anyone know for sure if it canceled? I always went to these and invited customers as well. Sad if it is no longer offered.

    Penn State hires James Franklin

Looks like a good hire: http://msn.foxsports.com/college-football/story/james-franklin-agrees-to-terms-with-penn-state-will-leave-vanderbilt-010914 Probably a very expensive hire for them. What irritates me is that we couldn't pony up a few extra bucks to keep TJ yet other teams around our...

Support staff for Nebraska football program

I was listening to the local radio station 1620 this morning. Damon Benning mentioned that Iowa State has a larger staff than Nebraska devoted to recruiting. This caught me by surprise. I know that Nebraska has recently put adds looking for more support staff in recruiting which is a good start...

    Possible future candidates for Nebraska

I'm not saying Bo is gone. It really depends on the remaining games coming up and how well we play regardless of wins and losses. What I am interested about is who out there could propel us forward if we make HC changes at the end of this year. My criteria is as follows: I want someone who is...

    Press conference

Listening to it now. In my opinion, Bo sounds confused and a bit unsure of himself. He is making excuses. Obviously. I think he almost sounds scared. He better figure this out quick! For his sake and for the sake of our football program.

Huskers have a chance to move way up in polls this week!

Weeks 13 is a big one. Below is this week's game schedule of matchups which will likely impact the BCS standings the most: 1. Notre Dame (11-0) — at USC 3. Georgia (10-1) — vs. Georgia Tech 4. Florida (10-1) — at No. 10 Florida State 5. Oregon (10-1) — at No. 15 Oregon State 8. Stanford...

Mark May picks NU over OSU?

I'm watching USC play Utah and during the half time show saw that Mark May and Griese both picked NU over Ohio Sate! I know May almost always sides against us and I despise him in general. Kind of surprsing. ESPN seems anti-Nebraska as a whole. Hope he is right! By the way USC is over rated.

Santos and Cooper to split time at Weakside LB for Idaho St. game

Santos, Cooper to split time With Anderson out from a torn ACL injury, it looks like Santos will get his opportunity. I was suprised that Cooper being a safety will be splitting time with him. I guess it just shows the lack of depth at that position. Whaley appears to have lost his starting...

    Recruiting dinner recap

The annual signing day recruitment dinner was yesterday in Omaha. I try to make it every year. As many of you know, the event goes over all of the recruits in the class with film clips and coaching comments. I personnaly think we have a very good class this year. The loss of Peat hurts, but...

Tidbits from the Big Red Breakfast this morning 11/11/11

Stai was the speaker. He was a wealth of information in my opinion. Kind of told it like it is. Very little coach speak. Here are a few quick bullet points of some of his discussions: 1. As a Graduate manager he works a lot with the scout team in preparing the team to simulate our opponent's...

Will the Nebraska vs. Penn State game be Paterno's last?

Joe Pa is getting a lot of heat. The media is swarming the campus and staking out Paterno's house as well. Many feel that he will not survive this scandal. I for one agree. He will most likely be gone sometime this year. It would be very interesting if Nebraska was the last team he coached...
