2023 Spring Game - April 22 @ 1PM



I want to believe it will be a real game, but we only have 5 or 6 DTs on the roster.  And one of them was last seen with his arm in a sling (Robinson).

It's a valid concern.  But it will be interesting to see who ends up where in the new scheme.

I think the DL guys will be Wynn, Robinson, Hutmacher, Buckley, Jeudy, Wallin, Gunnerson, Lenhardt, Noonan and Umanmielen of the guys who will be here this spring.  So that's nine without Robinson.  (We'll add Van Poppel and Carroll-Jackson after spring.)  None too many but could make it work.

 
I don't think it will "sell out" but I do think it will be over 70k.

Me and some friends will be down there, not for the game, just to have fun.  I have not checked but I would assume this will be televised live on BTN?

 
Glorified scrimmage is better than flag football practice. 
 

They better play a genuine game with blocking, tackling, special teams, etc.  there are over 100 on the squad - 50 per team.  4 QBs. Etc.  

Neb has played about a dozen less games than many programs the past five years with no bowls, cancellations and half assed spring games, very few full scale scrimmages etc. it shows.  Time to play real football again - a lot of catching up to do.  A young team that needs extra practice not less.  This season is all about building the basics.
