2024 Season Notes

This makes more sense to me - I'm not sure we're willing to push anyone out. Landfair (and probably Lauenstein, depending on if she's fully back to her old form) would be upgrades, but you'd have to move on from someone and there are no more obvious candidates to be shown the door.

I would guess it was the final nail in the coffin.  

She was likely going to have a fairly small role next year anyway.  She had basically fallen out of the rotation until Krause got hurt.  

And she just didn't seem to have quite the ceiling needed.  When she got chances in the big games, she usually didn't perform as well as we'd like.

So it probably works best for both sides.
