So to you, just bc we caught a HUGE break in the tournament and won 4 games automatically makes the season a success? The regular season was not what was expected, would you agree or disagree? That is simply what I am saying. Finished 8th, only after needing to win the last 3 series or we don’t even qualify for our own tournament. Is that what you expected?
College baseball media were calling the Huskers a super regional team before the year. Nebraska proceeded to sh*t their pants on the basepaths all year, making more baserunning errors than any team I can recall in 25+ years. When they weren't running the bases like small children playing tee ball who didn't know what direction to go, they were striking out repeatedly with runners in scoring position or otherwise failing to have productive at-bats. Having Mason McConnaughey around wouldn't have solved that garbage.
