2025 NCAA Tournament - Thunderin' Bolts vs Oklahoma (Round 2)

So to you guys,  losing the last game like we did meant the season was a failure?  We sucked in that game,  no doubt.   However that doesn't ruin the entire season imo.  All but one team ends the season on a loss....
trying find the word failure in either of my posts. Not meeting expectations is not automatically a drastic failure. So to you, just bc we caught a HUGE break in the tournament and won 4 games automatically makes the season a success? The regular season was not what was expected, would you agree or disagree? That is simply what I am saying. Finished 8th, only after needing to win the last 3 series or we don’t even qualify for our own tournament. Is that what you expected?

College baseball media were calling the Huskers a super regional team before the year. Nebraska proceeded to sh*t their pants on the basepaths all year, making more baserunning errors than any team I can recall in 25+ years. When they weren't running the bases like small children playing tee ball who didn't know what direction to go, they were striking out repeatedly with runners in scoring position or otherwise failing to have productive at-bats. Having Mason McConnaughey around wouldn't have solved that garbage.

Trying to pretend getting your head caved in by Oklahoma was the only bad performance of the year is freaking hilarious. Getting embarrassed by a mediocre UNO team AGAIN, losing the series to Creighton AGAIN, finishing 8th when you were picked to finish 2nd and needing to play a stretch of awful teams to even finish that high. . .this season was a masterclass in underachieving but somehow fooling some people into thinking it wasn't.

And absolutely none of that is to say I think Bolt should be fired. I agree with what was said about Harvell. I've heard rumblings about that guy for a few years now. I'm sick and ****ing tired of Nebraska coaches in various sports keeping dead weight on staff to their own demise.
