New Mexico state will make a bowl at 6-6 more than likely, this news flying a bit under the radar on a night full of great football and frost taking the Nebraska Job.
But one of the longest bowl droughts in the history of the game is over.
On a personal note, I go to that area every summer to do some events and have gotten to know people down there. And despite all those bad seasons they still spoke of someday being good and wanting to see their team make a bowl. I was impressed that they still cared after all those bad seasons.
Well now they have it what they wanted, congrats to them and everyone in south New Mexico, they deserve it.
