Is there any way to shut that god-awful commercial up? Every time I go on the main page it's just wailing at me, and I don't see a mute or volume control anywhere. I just have to wait until it shuts up.

 
There's an exit button I found on the side that gets rid of it. Excellent.

I was trying to avoid muting the computer as I was watching Top Gear on netflix while browsing HB.

 
It shouldn't auto play with sound. But it still does, if only intermittently. I am not sure what is up with that.

Yeah, that's what I was confused about. Usually, the default video has been something about Crick or one of the other players we have going into the draft. I've never noticed the video for the Adidas commercial before. But, every time I have visited the site in the last couple of days, the music has auto-played.

EDIT - OK, I lied. Even now, with the box closed, it still auto plays.

it does on mine too, everytime, i have open tabs on youtube usually and im alwasy trying to figure out what the hell is playing, annoying to say the least, looks like i can never avoid adverstising

 
The default configuration is for the sound to be muted. The problem has arisen before, and it rests with the vendor's servers. Normally, the ads (at least for other sites) have sound enabled. We requested as part of the agreement to have them muted. So, ocassionally, there's a glitch on their end. Sorry about that.

 
Ha ha. That video sound on the HB front page is pretty annoying. I've turned my speakers up/down (manual knob) about 50 times in the past couple of days. :lol:
