Advertising with Huskers Illustrated

Member GMoose, Grant Muessel in the real world, asked me if HuskerBoard would be interested in advertising on Huskers Illustrated. After school he's selling advertising for HI, while also writing copy. I told him I don't know, that I'd pass his request on to you. Grant told me he could get you "a dirt cheap rate." :D

Knapp, if you're still in contact with GMoose, can you ask him about how they'd like to advertise with us?

I had been wanting to set up something like this for Huskerboard but haven't had the time (or ability to find advertising partners) to do it.

But it strikes me that they need to advertise far more than we do. They are a bigger operation competing against other professional setups - 247 and scout. 247 in particular, just appears to have about 10 years of technological edge on them, and even jacked their HuskersIllustrated name when they started up.

Huskerboard more or less dominates the search engine market of people who want to look for a...well, Husker message board, and it's free, while they are recruiting for paying customers. And with how their message board as well as their site is run, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they are sort of struggling in the competition.

But yeah, maybe you could present that case to him and see if there's any interest on their end! (Maybe don't mention the last point; I'm not sure and if they are indeed getting their asses kicked by 247, it might be a sore sport :P )
