Is there anything to this? Inquiring minds want to know!

I haven't heard anything on this. Riley said after the bowl game he wasn't expecting any QBs to leave.

Things could always change but ....

From what little I saw of him in the spring game, he kinda looked like a more athletically gifted TA with worse decision making throwing the ball.

I would be happy if he stayed to add depth at QB or maybe a move to Defense?

I'm not sure what he's like as a QB. Everything the coaches said last spring pretty much had him as becoming the starter in fall because the other QBs couldn't handle the offense. Then he had a ho-hum spring game and his reps were cut to nothing. Hard to get better in practice when the coaches won't let you run the offense. He had a habit of moving in high school so it doesn't surprise me. But I hate to see a good kid who from all accounts is a good teammate leave. I think sometimes these kids to to remember its also about getting an education. Of course. . .nothing has been official yet. I'm sure with school starting here shortly we'll know how many kids might be leaving.

I hate to see kids not make it on the team. It was obviously his dream to do better.

I think Nebraska will be fine though.

Good luck to him.

I hope he stays, but he isn't a qb in this system. He could play multiple positions. WR is the most logical choice, but IMO he could play safety also. At 6'3" and 220 with his arm span he could put on some lbs and even play DE.

He was a project coming into the system even under the old regime, I just don't think his future is at qb.

He will transfer to a JUCO, do very well and get another D1 offer to a smaller school. and people will complain how he should of been the starter here and how great we would of been under him if our coaches only knew what talent really was...

I hope he stays and keeps working at it. Wasn't he a redshirt freshman this year? Maybe as a RSo, he'll be able to stay in the mix during Fall Camp.
