Guys, just a note - I don't know if it shows up for the Mods, but in the black bar at the top of the screen I see an option to Manage Announcements. I just tried one in the Test2 forum. Turns out that once posted, there is no way to delete it (at least, that I can see). When you create an announcment, there is an option for entering a close date. I don't know whether that will automatically delete the topic, or just closed it. If someone wants to test that (using one of the test forums), go ahead.

If we can't delete announcements, I'm recommending we don't use them. They'll eventually clutter up a forum. If, however, the announcements are deleted if we set a close date, then we can use them.

I poked around a bit and you can delete them.

When we go the manage announcements section, the default is the "adding a new announcement" box. If we scroll down and click cancel on that, then we can see and modify existing announcements. Don't know why we can't just do that on the actual announcement itself like with posts.
