Another Ban Request

This gentleman joined last night and immediately began spamming threads with gibberish. I moved all of his posts to the Junkyard and I suspended his account.

According to WHOIS, he's doing this from Qatar, or at the least, routing his activity through Qatar.

That's what we usually request (in my short experience on the job :) ). I suspend his account and then one of the Admins stops up the ISP.

Bottom line, if this is what it'll take to stop this guy, we don't need to do any more. Let's see what happens.

I've banned the IP address.

Dave, the new control panel is a little wonky on status. There are actually two of them - the user group a person belongs to and the posting ability. When a mod suspends posting ability, the membership status remains unchanged (Members or Members2), but in small text beside it is the word "Banned". You can actually ban the account, which has the effect of banning the user's email account - they can't re-register with that email address. I did that to the account as well.
