Thanks for reminding me why I really dislike the CU - NU constructed rivalry. I was really, really annoyed when they became the day-after-Thanksgiving game... like some committee in the Big 12 office decided that they had to give everyone a rivalry, like some dork at Mattel trying to figure out which transformers REALLY hate each other. Then they tried to sell it, and everyone, except one of the major players in that rivalry, bit. Colorado, in my lifetime, has had a couple of decent seasons, but to pretend that there is some kind of rivalry here is just absurd and demeaning to actual rivalries. This was constructed to make it seem like there was a reasonable explanation for the way the Big XII was divided up besides some arbitrary N/S distinction. Oh? You have one of the biggest, most storied rivalries in college football with OU? Well... um... here's CU. play them! They hate you. See? go at it... come on... rawrrr... go on. You're bitter rivals because there were some good games in the 90s. Remember? Who cares about the 1 vs. 2 games you had with OU? Game of the Century? What was that? They beat you in 1989 and 1990! Those were... um... also important games.
