Am I the only slow one who didn't realize you could do this? I just realized that on the bottom of your PM conversations there's a link that says "Archive Conversation." If you click it, it sends an email to your account with the conversation in an HTML file. That lets you kill the conversation in your Inbox, and still keep a record of it.
Neat trick. Wish I had realized I could do this about two years ago! :facepalm:
